Lessons are the building blocks of content on Myagi. They help you deliver clear, focused product knowledge and training to your audience.
Creating a Lesson
Creating a Lesson
Lessons can only be created within a Plan.
Step 1: Add a Lesson to a Plan
Go to your Plan and click Add Lesson. You can either create a new lesson or select one from your existing library.
Step 2: Name Your Lesson
Use a clear and descriptive name that reflects the content and value of the lesson.
Step 3: Upload a Thumbnail
Add a custom thumbnail to make your lesson visually distinctive.
If you don’t upload a thumbnail, one will be automatically generated from your video. You can update it at any time.
Tip: A lesson can be added to multiple plans. This allows you to reuse valuable content across audiences.
To do this:
Click Edit on the lesson
Select additional plans where the lesson should appear
Adding Content to a Lesson
Adding Content to a Lesson
You can include a range of content types in a lesson:
Video
Use short, engaging videos (ideally 2–3 minutes) to convey your message clearly and directly.
Recommended format: MP4 (H.264 codec), bitrate between 5,000–10,000 kbps.
PDFs
Attach downloadable documents to support learners with additional information.
Keep them under 10 MB for best performance.
Web Pages / Snippets
Embed external web content to add dynamic and up-to-date information to your lesson.
Text Documents
Use text blocks created directly in Myagi to share descriptions, instructions, or notes.
HTML5 or SCORM
Upload interactive SCORM or HTML5 packages for a more dynamic learning experience.
Avoid duplicating questions within Myagi if your SCORM package already contains them.
Questions
Test understanding with multiple-choice or true/false questions.
You can also include images to support or illustrate the question content.
Recommended Lesson Structure
Recommended Lesson Structure
To build an effective and engaging lesson, we recommend the following structure:
Introduction – Briefly state what the learner will take away from the lesson
Video – Deliver your main message in a 2–3 minute video
Flashcards – Reinforce the key points for easy review
Quiz – Include 3–5 questions to assess understanding
PDF (optional) – Offer additional resources for download
Tips for Creating Video Content
Tips for Creating Video Content
Before filming your lesson, here are five best practices to ensure quality and clarity:
1. Choose a quiet, well-lit location
Avoid background noise and make sure lighting is even. Use multiple lights to reduce shadows.
2. Prepare your setup
Shoot in the highest quality possible. Avoid noisy clothing or distracting colors. If you make a mistake, pause and pick up where you left off to simplify editing.
3. Focus on clarity and tone
Speak slowly, pronounce clearly, and emphasize key points. Use authentic enthusiasm to connect with your audience.
4. Consider the editing process
Leave short pauses between sentences and avoid filler words. This makes editing smoother.
