Plans

Plans allow you to create a bundle of lessons for your audience to consume. There is no limit to how many lessons you can add to a plan.

We recommend keeping it under 5 in total. You can deliver the key messages about a particular product or a series of lessons to cover an entire customer journey.

Creating a Plan

Start by creating a name and description that is engaging and clear.

A name can be adjusted or changed at any time. No one should be left wondering why they need to complete an entire plan of lessons.

Add a custom thumbnail to your plan.

If you do not have a thumbnail for your plan it will automatically be generated after you upload a video into the first lesson.

You can always come back and replace the thumbnail by uploading a new image later.

Add a lesson

You can create a new plan or select from existing lessons.

Add the plan to a channel

Plans that are not created directly from the channel they belong to will need to be manually connected. If the plan is not connected to a channel it will not be accessible to your audience.

Publishing

Publishing your plan you will make it available to everyone who is enrolled in the connected channel. You can always view the enrollment within the channel before you publish.

Announcements to enrolled users

Let enrolled users know if you've added new content, or recently published a new plan. The announcement will appear in the news feed and users will be notified via email.

The number of enrolled users that will be notified can be viewed as you create the announcement. If a plan has been added into multiple channels all the users that are enrolled in those channels will receive a notification of the announcement.

You can avoid this by creating a new plan and adding existing lessons.

Set due dates

Due dates can only be set for your internal company.

Set a due date to meet a compliance deadline or simply keep everyone moving along. Setting a due date will give users a minimum of one week to complete the content.

Users that are enrolled in this plan can have a due date set.

Content with due dates will appear at the top of the learning tab for the intended audience.

Best Practices

  • Consider the time it takes to complete the lessons within the plan.
The audience should get a sense of accomplishment and not be trapped in a never-ending plan of lessons.

  • Create a badge and reward your audience after they successfully complete the plan.

  • Reorder the lessons to build your story and keep the user engaged.

  • Set realistic due dates that everyone can meet.
