Our video hosting partner, Wistia, has recently introduced an update that automatically generates captions for newly created videos.

While this feature can be beneficial for accessibility, it's important to note that these captions are AI-generated and may not be 100% accurate. If you'd like more control over these captions, this article will guide you through the process.

Turning Off Automatically Generated Captions

If you'd like to turn off the automatically generated captions for a video select the "CC" in the video frame menu to select a different available language or turn them off completely.

  • Click the "CC" to manage Closed Captioning.

Deleting Caption Files (For Myagi Admins)

If you have admin permission for a brand and wish to remove the closed captions entirely from a video you'll want to navigate down to the lesson where the video content is sitting in.

Select the video content within the lesson to find the Closed Captioning options.

Click "Upload captions (Subtitles) for your video"

Select the languages you'd like to delete or remove all that appear if you do not wish to have any subtitles on your video content.

Let Our Support Team Manage for You

if you are unsure about managing captions or simply want some assistance you can provide our support team with a direct link to the lesson or video where the captions are appearing.

Our support team can remove or upload SRT files for you if you provide them with the necessary information and files.
